Being a university student in Sri Lanka sure sucks sometimes.Being a student of the University of Moratuwa can even be harder. Of course currently we are ranked number one out of all the universities in Sri Lanka, but I would say sometimes that it would be better if we were allowed to be more HUMAN than being like machines at times.
Some say after a long pause tomorrow, the university will be opened. How naive I might add because the non academics' union action is still not withdrawn. God save us all!
Sri Lankan government surely is stubborn. Actually they play with the lives of the future generations. But of course they are politicians and politicians need empty headed people in the society so their regime will not be questioned. No matter what their party is, majority is the same. And we have seen how meaningless parties are, these people will just go into the most powerful party most of the time. Anyway I want to know how long it will take for the government and the union to come to an agreement. The government is surely sly enough to slip away from the problems.... why can't they increase the salaries? they have promised it and still they seem to be tricking everyone. I just hope that we will get to see the end of the strike soon. I am bored of being home. Moreover, when shall we get our degrees and get on with life? Dear government, if you want the cream of the country stay, you better treat them properly.
