Friday the 13th

Writing to you about Friday the 13th on Saturday the 14th. Actually many people seem to believe that yesterday was a bad day. But was it? Maybe for some, but my personal experience denies it. Well you find an explanation about this day from the infamous "Da Vinci Code" but I am not sure about it's validity. But Jason Voorhees might have something to say about why this day is so horrifying for some of us.(And oh, his mother too)
But don't our beliefs here represent the superstitious part of our lives? Friday the 13th and even the number 13 they are considered to give us bad luck. But how much bad luck do they bring? Not as bad luck as some of your friends and girlfriends and boyfriends I would like to notice. Actually we ll hold beliefs that are not completely logical. For instance I think that rain gives me a hefty boost of energy every time I am lucky enough to see it. But there is a place we should draw the line. Sometimes these beliefs may get a little bit out of hand and may ruin the day. There are people who would be extremely affected by myths and superstition than others and may even ruin their lives because of them.
So the next time you'd cancel a trip because of a black cat, expect Jason to show up on your doorstep on Friday the 13th, you should better see the fact that those things hinder your progress. So I think that if something is not logical and does bad to you then we should abandon it altogether. It would do no harm and rther it will be for the best of our interests.
But on the other hand if it is something that gives us happiness, success and hurts no one then.. there is no reason to abandon it.
I am reminded of a story....
There was a professor who did not believe in any type of superstition.
One day a reporter goes to interview him.
And sees a good luck charm hanging on his wall and asks the professor: "You don't believe in any kind of superstition, right?"
"Yes"
"Then how come you have that you have that good luck charm hanging over there?"
"Oh! the guy who gave it to me said:It will bring you luck, whether or not you believe in it.So I took it"
The moral of the story:If something does you good, it doesn't matter whether you believe it or not or even if it is real, just keep it.. ;)
